PLANS TO GET VACCINATED IN PHASE 1 ADVANCES IN ITS SCHEDULE ON A NATIONAL SCALE - OFFICIAL BULLETIN 1869- March 12, 2021 Quito, Ecuador. –
'The Minister of Health, Rodolfo Farfán, through a national chain, gave details of the execution model of Phase 1 of the Vaccine Plan.-
"The schedule for Phase 1 of the Vaccine Plan is as follows: March 1 Beginning of Phase 1 March 11 and 12 Phase 1 ends in the Galapagos Province March 30, 100% of the health personnel of health establishments of the public and private network of the country have been vaccinated.
April 30 Phase 1 ends in the province of Pichincha, Guayas and Azuay.
May 20 Phase 1 ends throughout the country Phase 1 has as a target group for vaccination of 2 million people that includes: health personnel who were not vaccinated in Phase 0 belonging to hospitals, clinics, laboratories and medical centers, health and image .
These include: doctors, nurses, assistants, technologists, orderlies, customer service personnel, cleaning personnel, custodians, postgraduates, and last-year internship students with hospital life.
This Phase 1 also includes: • Senior citizens • Public Force • Firefighters • Teachers of all levels of the private, fiscal and municipal sectors • Vulnerable groups • Garbage collectors • Strategic sectors of attention: -
Ecuadorian Red Cross and Civil Defense lifeguards-Municipal control agents-ECU-911-Brigadiers of the National Risk and Emergency Management Service-Personnel of funeral homes, crematoriums and cemeteries-High exposure security sector.
For the implementation of this Phase 1, the Minister explained that a mixed management model will be applied that will combine a registration model on the web and a vaccination model by sector, according to the following detail-
Open registration model: For seniors, who must register on the www.planvacunarse.ec portal, which will be ready from March 15th. It will be enabled by age range and priority will be given first to citizens aged 65 and over. Vaccination model by sector: The other groups other than the elderly will be called progressively according to the databases of each sector.
"The team of the Ministry of Public Health, the public-private coalition, the academy, municipalities, ministries and federations are working on consolidating the data that will allow us, simultaneously, to vaccinate all citizens of the target group of Phase 1," said Farfán.
In order to solve the doubts of the population, the website www.planvacunarse.ec is available to the public, with a segment of questions and answers about the vaccination plan. The Minister of Health called on Ecuadorians to continue with protection measures, to attend vaccination appointments, to respect and wait for the Phase that corresponds to each one, as well as to pitch in so that Ecuadorians walk towards a safe vaccination for all." -
