Important Note #5-
yeah, i am technically in metro quito, but my suburb town Cumbaya is slower paced than just 20 minutes west to downtown quito city limits, Cumbaya pop 31k., our house is in the back of the subdivision and we back up to several hundred hectares of green pasture land with cows and horses.
The next village to the west away from quito is Tumbaco and has a lot more wide open spaces and country styled living.
The next village to the west away from quito is Puembo, very country,
The next village to the west away from quito is Pifo, very very country with agriculture,
The next village to the west away from quito is Tababela where the UIO Quito INT airport is- very very very much so out in the country with lots and lots of agriculture, -
In these east quito suburb valleys we range from 7,200 - 7,500ft elv. all the way east to the UIO->

(2016) -Driving In Ecuador Vs The USA: 21 Major Differences-
"This week I had the chance to sit down with one guy who knows the roads of Ecuador better than anyone I know,
Jack Abercrombie, a guy from Atlanta who has been living in Ecuador a few years now. He has a truck he uses to help new
arrival expats in Ecuador move large loads of goods and pets within Ecuador. You can reach him at:

(2016) "Some people choose jobs, some jobs choose people. Take “Journeyman Jack” Abercrombie. He’s based in
Cumbaya, Ecuador, and is an expert on life as an expat the way few are. He can help you give birth to your dream of moving to Ecuador,
facilitate the transition with ease-

(2016) "At the time of the earthquake, Abercrombie was at home in Cumbaya, just east of Quito. Though he felt the earthquake,
he did not feel the impact like those who suffered so much on the coast. Abercrombie — also known as “Journeyman Jack”
— makes a living relocating people:

(2015) "The best driving routes, and driving times in Ecuador"-
This week I had the pleasure to interview someone that knows the roads of Ecuador better than ANYONE I know. Jack Abercrombie, an American expat from Atlanta who has lived in Ecuador for over 10 years now and has a heavy-duty truck he uses to help expats move heavy loads of belongings within Ecuador. - See more at:

(2014) "Jack Abercrombie, a well known tour guide / driver from Quito (the capital of Ecuador) was visiting the area for a few
days and called for a gathering of friends at Fabiano's (our favorite pizza spot). He anticipated maybe 20-25 people.
We ended the afternoon at over 40!-

--"To enter Ecuador, all travelers need a passport that’s valid for at least six months from the date of entry. You’ll also need to provide proof of
onward travel (or a return ticket) and evidence that you have enough money to pay for your trip. These last two requirements aren’t often addressed, but it’s a good idea to have proof of them just in case a border guard stops you."--
