This is and has been my personal SAT Phone i purchased new in 2008 when i moved to Ecuador. The unit has been recently tested and and checked out, it is powering on, dialing out, and
mechanically it functions perfectly, with zero issues. All buttons work perfectly. Has always been kept and cared for in the Pelican Protection Case, it is in perfect working condition
and in excellent cosmetic and aesthetic condition.
The phone has been recently tested and is able to acquire a satellite signal, though it is currently not registered or active on any account. I have several new / current pre pay and post pay SAT SIM card plans included ready to be activated. A test call has recently been successfully made on this SAT Phone.
The phone has been tested to accept a charge and keep it. Battery holds a charge for months in off mode.
The iridium Li-Ion Battery, requires approximately 3 hours to fully recharge, allows 3 hours of talk time and 30 hours of standby time.
Cosmetically, it shows little to no wear. There is 1 small minor scuff at top right corner of the rubber housing, and No scratches on the entire plastic housing, and absolutely Zero - NO scratches
at all what so ever on the the screen of the phone.
All rubber pieces are playable and flexible as seen in photos. No wear what so ever to the keypad.
In all, I rate the phone a 9/10 in terms of physical appearance and a 10/10 VGC + for Functionality.

3.4 Iridium: 9505A-
"The Iridium 9505A satellite mobile phone is an early model
from a series of Iridium satellite phones. The phone operates in
temperatures ranging between 14oF and 131oF and has a relative
humidity range between 25 and 75 percent.
Power is provided by a Li-ion battery that weighs 66 grams for a standard batteryand 98 grams for a high-capacity battery. The standard battery lasts for 2 hours of talk time and 20 hours of standby time,
while the high-capacity battery, which requires about 3 hours in
recharging, allows 3 hours of talk time and 30 hours of standby
time.
The user interface is equipped with an illuminated graphic
display screen and a keypad, and 21 language choices are
supported for accessing the commands and prompts. The phone
is easy to use for international calling. There is an indicator for
missed calls. The internal phonebook stores up to 100 address
entries. The phone is not GPS enabled.
The 9505A was replaced by a newer model, the Iridium 9555. The
9505A is now manufactured in lesser quantities, but is still
